Review time :

When I first got it like in December 2010, and i was impressed for the fact it weights so light , and it does get the job done easily without worry about adjusting the 'Give' such as the stigma hyper v 2, or even the dragon fly.

I feel this is like a lighter smaller version of the NeoTat machine, which is my 1st liner rotary machine. also on a side note, the picture you see in the middle of the machine, u can change it to anything u like, all u need is some clear tape and the picture u want to insert in.

enough of the techincal part, here comes the practical part: this machine is very smooth at 8 volts , which is how i do my black and grey with, and the needle depth is also just right at 3.5mm ( long stroke), and if i want it smoother, i usually push my grip further out , so only like 2 mm of needle is showing, i don't really know what motor its using, it might be swiss or it might be mabuchi. but if u buy the clip-cord version, and u tried to connect it 1 way, and doesn't work, don't fret, simply just turn the clip cord another way round, maybe its because the motor is brush-less. somewhat like the swashdrive Gen 5.

its weird how this feel so light still, even after every tattoo i am still impress by the workmanship of this machine, as it is 1 piece aluminum and its CNC is a perfect way, i am not no connection with Bishop at all, but i got to tell you that Franco is one hell of a guy, his customer service is top notch, just be a lil patience when u email him.

those of u that are converting from coil to rotary, it might take a lil while for u to get used to it, but once u mastered how to use it, u be happy u made this purchase, and if u think u want a lil more heavier , u can try the neotat machine which in my opinion , is the 1st inventer of the linear rotary , which is out like back then is 2006 or so, when i first saw it on Ebay. and its much cheaper too. but it looks like a bloody ugly big Zippo lighter. my 2 cents!

Ok , and now for my review :

I just tested a brass version, and it really kicks some ass, its not like the original Swiss rotary where the rubber bands will snap while tattooing, as if u notice the bar which spines that attached to the amateur bar , there is a smooth groove so it wont bite the rubber when it rotates.

i did a black and grey work, and its so smooth , almost like the neo-tat tattoo machine, but this machine is way lighter and a breeze to work with. at just 5 volts on my Eikon EMS400 power supply. and the stroke is around 3.5mm , its real nice to color with too, at only around 7 volts.

I also did use it with 39 Magnum, and it works flawless . the only drawback of this machine is, it still uses old traditional clipcord. Roman (the maker) should have made it with RCA option too.
don't you guys realize that every Rotary makers makes it a point to have RCA connection too . think about it :)
